Huge fire rips as a result of historic church in north London

Dozens of firefighters had been battling a blaze at a heritage-mentioned church in north-west London past evening.

Some 80 firefighters were being despatched to St Mark’s Church in Hamilton Terrace, St John’s Wood, the London Fireplace Brigade (LFB) explained.

The entire of the two-storey building was alight, with inhabitants asked to maintain doorways and home windows shut owing to the major amount of smoke staying developed.

The LFB explained it was working with 3 ladders, including the tallest in Europe at all around 210ft, as towers to distribute h2o evenly.

‘Firefighters are applying two of the Brigade’s new 32-metre turntable ladders and a 64-metre turntable ladder (the tallest in Europe) at the scene as h2o towers, to get water on to the developing externally.

‘The Brigade’s 999 Manage Officers have taken just about 30 phone calls to the blaze.

‘The Brigade was called at 2319. Hearth crews from North Kensington, Paddington, West Hampstead and bordering fireplace stations are at the scene. The bring about of the fire is not recognised at this time.’
