The Ministry of Health in Italy announced that it had recorded 475 deaths from the Coronavirus today, Saturday, compared to 477 cases on Friday, and 16,310 injuries compared to 16,146 injuries.
Italy has recorded 81,800 deaths from the virus since its appearance in February, the second largest toll in Europe and the sixth in the world.
The Ministry of Health said that the country had recorded 2.3 million cases since then.
On the other hand, Health Minister Roberto Speranza said today, Saturday, that his country will suspend receiving flights from Brazil, due to the presence of a new strain of the virus.
He added on “Facebook” that anyone who passed through Brazil in the last 14 days is also prevented from entering Italy, while arrivals from Brazil will be required to undergo a virus detection test.
