Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown will miss one to two weeks due to a strained right hamstring, the franchise itself has announced. The forward had to leave the track during last Thursday’s victory over the Miami Heat and would not be in the game two days later against the Dallas Mavericks.
The All-Star is leading the Celtics in scoring thanks to his 25.6 points per night, to which he adds 6.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists in a total of eight games, all of them as a starter. In addition, it is registering career stops in percentage of success in field shots (49.3%), free throws (78.0%) and steals (1.3).
However, the course has not started well for Boston’s interests. The team ranks twelfth in the Eastern Conference with a record of four wins and six losses.
To make matters worse, Marcus Smart exploded after last week’s loss to the Bulls by accusing Jayson Tatum and Brown himself of “not passing the ball.” A scenario that triggered an emergency meeting between the locker room to try to redirect the crisis cabinet.
In addition, recent rumors point to an alleged interest in Ben Simmons, so perhaps some other major change within the squad is looming, after the main offices and coaching staff have already been modified during the offseason.
