The Jordanian Narcotics Control Administration, in coordination with the security services and customs, thwarted an attempt to smuggle 900,000 narcotic pills hidden in a freight vehicle.
A spokesman for the Public Security Directorate said, “The workers in the Drug Enforcement Administration, in coordination and cooperation with the security services and the Jordanian customs operating at one of the border crossings, suspected one of the freight vehicles coming to the Kingdom during the entry procedures, as it was stopped and seized for the purpose of inspection.”
He confirmed that “by searching the vehicle, 900 thousand narcotic pills were found inside the vehicle, which were hidden in a secret cache inside the vehicle, and a person of Arab nationality was involved in the case.”
