Article 4 specifies the punishment for the perpetrator of the crime of harassment with imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year and a fine not exceeding three thousand dinars, or one of these two penalties. If the perpetrator of the crime returns to his crime, he shall be punished with imprisonment for a period not exceeding five years and a fine not exceeding five thousand dinars, or one of the two penalties Without prejudice to any more severe penalty stipulated in the Penal Code.
Representative Yusef Al-Fadala also submitted a proposal regarding the launch of an electronic security application that allows the citizen or resident to send a report by uploading pictures, video or audio recording of these incidents and violations of the speed of reporting and documentation at the same moment.
For his part, Deputy Abdulaziz Al-Saqabi submitted a proposal for a law to criminalize harassment, whether by word or deed, whereby a prison term not exceeding a year and a fine not exceeding three thousand dinars, or one of these two penalties, shall be imposed on anyone who is exposed to others in a public place, whether verbally or Indication of acts that involve sexual connotations, are contrary to public morals, or disturb public decency.
