Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney sniped again at Kari Lake just after the Arizona gubernatorial applicant lost to her Democratic opponent Katie Hobbs by a trim margin on Monday evening.
Prior to the midterm elections, Cheney ran ads against Lake and claimed she would “absolutely” vote for a Democratic governor and secretary of condition if she lived in Arizona. Lake was a most well-liked candidate for Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans.
Lake, in reaction, posted a sarcastic letter on Twitter on Oct 28, thanking the Wyoming congresswoman for her “anti-endorsement.” She claimed that, in reaction to the attack ad, donations to her marketing campaign skyrocketed and her website “approximately crashed from site visitors.”
“Thank you, @Liz_Cheney,” Lake wrote.
On Monday evening, immediately after Hobbs was identified as the winner of the Arizona governor race by a .82 share point margin, Cheney posted a succinct retort to the letter on Twitter: “You’re welcome.”

Rep. Cheney missing her primary election from Trump-backed applicant Harriet Hageman in August. Hageman went on to win the election with 69.8% of the vote. Lake, who had formerly questioned the end result of the 2020 election, on Sunday known as Arizona “the laughingstock of elections” just after benefits indicated she was dropping the race.
On Monday, following the election was termed for her opponent, Lake doubled down on her criticism of her state’s voting technique, tweeting: “Arizonans know BS when they see it.”
Associates for Cheney and Lake did not quickly respond to Insider’s requests for remark.
