The Toronto Raptors have closed the incorporation of Reggie Perry, as announced by the franchise itself through its social networks. Details have not been released but journalist Blake Murphy notes that the deal will be limited to one contract. Exhibit 10 in order to dispute the training camp.
Currently, the Canadian franchise has 17 contracts on the payroll (five of them unsecured) and its two busy dual deals (Justin Champagnie and David Johnson), so Perry’s fate could be in the Development League.
Perry was selected 57th in the 2020 draft by the Brooklyn Nets. In the New York city he would play a total of 26 games, in which he averaged 3.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in 8.1 minutes. In the Development League with the Long Island Nets he enjoyed greater relevance, as evidenced by the 18.1 points and 8.9 rebounds recorded.
However, the Nets decided to withdraw the qualifying offer just before the deadline to exercise it. And although his continuity in Brooklyn was rumored, for now his future in the league points to another destination.
