Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro accused the Colombian authorities of plotting “new attacks” against military personnel in Venezuela.
Maduro said in a speech, on Monday, that “there are preparations in Colombia to launch new attacks against our country’s military, with mercenaries trained and funded by (Colombian President) Ivan Duque, and the attacks are preparing to carry them out at the end of this year.”

It should be noted that this is not the first accusation by Maduro of Colombia and its president, Ivan Duque, of masterminding attacks against Venezuela.
And Maduro had spoken earlier this month about thwarting a plot to assassinate him, accusing Colombian intelligence and the president of Colombia of being behind him.
