Megacable invests 131 million dollars in its services for Sinaloa

The company plans to develop an additional 9,000 kilometers of telecommunications network in the state during 2023 and reach 750,000 homes with its mass consumption and business services.

According to Megacable, the 2023 investment will allow the creation of a total of 8,000 jobs, some 2,000 of them directly.

“With Sinaloa we are united by a great relationship of four decades (…) We have been present in the evolution that telecommunications have had throughout these years here,” said the company.

Megacable Holdings is the incumbent operator in the pay television business in Sinaloa, after owning 56.91% of the local market there, 446,981 accesses, until the third quarter of 2022, according to the Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT).

Megacable also owns 54% of the fixed broadband business in Sinaloa, with 358,981 subscriptions to that service and 45.1% of the fixed voice business, with 267,791 homes served in the segment.
