A Mexican worker devised a way to reach his mistress by digging a tunnel from his house to his mistress’s bed in her home, but despite his ingenuity, he fell into the grip of the deluded husband.
Antonio, a construction worker from Villas del Prado, had an affair with a married woman from the Tijuana neighborhood of the city.
In order to make sure that no one sees him secretly visiting his mistress, Pamela, the man began work on digging an underground tunnel running all the way from his home to the lover’s home, according to Oddity Central.
Antonio used his construction experience to dig a narrow, sturdy tunnel across several streets from his home to his mistress.
Once the digging was done, the lovers were able to meet in secret every time Pamela’s husband, Jorge, was leaving the house for work.
The only thing the lovers did not plan for was Jorge returning home from work early.
One day, the husband came home and found out about it. The lover tried to hide, crawled under the bed and disappeared into the “tunnel of love”, where Jorge began to search for him around the house, and when he looked under the marital bed, he found the entrance to the tunnel.
And the husband crawled into the secret tunnel himself, and ended up crawling in Antonio’s house, where he begged him to remain silent, because his wife was in the next room and he did not want her to know his command.
The two men got into a fist fight, which caused Antonio’s wife to call the police, and Antonio had no choice but to admit his betrayal.
News and pictures of “Tunnel of Love” were leaked on Mexican social media last week and quickly spread widely, and the story was covered by local and international media.
