Atlanta does not lift its head. The Georgia franchise continues to struggle and last night added its eighth loss in the last ten games on the Miami court, a bad dynamic that leaves them three and a half games behind the positions of play-in…
In Florida they competed, and at times it seemed that victory was close, but they ended up giving up. Despite starting down by up to 16 points, they got up and before the break they were already ahead. During the second half they kept up the pace and six minutes from the end they won by seven points (103-110). From there to the end of the game they conceded a 21-8 run to bite the dust again against Miami, a team that had already beaten them 48 hours earlier.
“We just made some mistakes down the stretch. We didn’t execute our offense well, we made some unnecessary fouls, we let a couple of loose balls stay… those balls that are 50-50 we have to catch. We just didn’t execute in the last quarter and it cost us the game, “explains Nate McMillan after seeing his team not being able to get any basket in the last three minutes.
