Milwaukee Bucks has sealed a long-term renewal agreement with its general manager Jon Horst, reported the media journalist Adrian Wojnarowski ESPN.
The Bucks management wanted to shield the architect of their champion team despite the fact that he still had a year left on his contract. The new commitment has been confirmed by his agent Brian Elfus, although he has not given more details regarding the numbers.
Horst was ultimately responsible for hiring Mike Budenholzer as head coach, and for the transfer of Jrue Holiday from the Pelicans.
“I will always be very grateful to the owners of the Bucks. What those guys have done for me, my family and my career, giving me this great opportunity and trusting me, “said Horst. “I’m very excited to continue working with them, and with Bud, Giannis, with the President, who have been the best possible partners and also the best players,” he explained.
Horst, 38, became the youngest general manager in NBA history when he replaced John Hammond in 2017. Under his leadership they have a record of 206 wins and 103 losses.
