Morocco .. The “Free” deputies support the Amazigh New Year holiday
The MPs of the National Rally of Independents demanded in the Moroccan Parliament to designate January 13th of each year as an official holiday and a holiday to celebrate the Amazigh New Year.
The website of the Moroccan newspaper “Hespress” reported that the proposal, which bears the signature of parliamentarians Mustafa Payetas and Mustafa, a participant of the “Constitutional Assembly” team, called for “the celebration of the occasion of the Fatih of the Amazigh year, according to the rules guaranteed by the constitution, in full respect for the kingdom’s constants and sanctities.” Calling to consider January 13 of each year as a one-day official holiday.
Amazigh bodies expressed their hope that the year 2971 corresponded to the year 2021, “the year of recognition of the Amazigh calendar and the beginning of the Amazigh year a national holiday and a day off,” according to a letter sent to the Royal Court of the Summer University, the Tamainot Organization, the Confederation of Amazigh Associations in the South, and the Confederation of Amazigh Associations In the north.
