The statement indicated that the demonstrators did not abide by the distance and other restrictive measures, and the gathering did not respond to police calls to return to the homes and leave the demonstration square, after which the police used water cannons to disperse the crowd.
On Saturday, an uncoordinated demonstration against the restrictive measures against Coronavirus was held in Museum Square in Amsterdam, in which hundreds of people participated.
Last weekend, a similar demonstration was also organized in the center of The Hague, in which water cannons were also used to disperse the demonstrators, and the police arrested about 20 people.
Earlier, the Dutch authorities announced the extension of the curfew until March 31. A curfew was imposed in the country on January 23 as one of the restrictive measures to curb the spread of the virus.
