The New Orleans Saints became the first NFL team in the 2020 season to clinch a spot in the playoffs.
The Saints joined the field thanks to a 21-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons and the Chicago Bears’ 34-30 loss to the Detroit Lions.
The Saints, who extended their win streak to nine games and are in the pole position for the top seed in the NFC, are in the postseason for the fourth consecutive year.
The Kansas City Chiefs also can clinch a playoff spot and the AFC West title on Sunday by beating the Denver Broncos.
The Pittsburgh Steelers can still wrap up a postseason spot Monday by beating the Washington Football Team to move to 12-0.
