(Trends Wide) — The Powerball jackpot grew to an estimated $747 million for Monday’s drawing. This is the fifth largest jackpot in the history of the game, according to Powerball.
If a player wins the prize, which would have a cash value of $403.1 million, it would also be the ninth-biggest jackpot in the US lottery.
The Powerball jackpot came out after no tickets matched all six numbers drawn on Saturday night.
The winningest tickets on Saturday included four tickets sold in Florida, New Jersey, Oregon and Pennsylvania that matched all five white balls. Each of those players will win a million dollars, according to Powerball.
This Monday’s draw will be the 34th in the jackpot race.
The last time anyone won a jackpot was on November 19, 2022, when a single ticket in Kansas won a grand prize worth $92.9 million.
The biggest Powerball jackpot of all time was won in early November when one lucky player won $2.04 billion in California.
