The Russian embassy in Panama confirmed that the country’s authorities are holding talks with Russia regarding supplies of the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine against the Coronavirus to Panama.
“At the moment, there are discussions between the Ministry of Health in Panama and the Russian Fund for Direct Investments,” Oleg Vishnevitsky, the press attache of the Russian embassy, told RIA Novosti Agency, adding that the discussions are taking place virtually via the Internet.

A letter sent by the Panamanian Ministry of Health to the head of the Russian Fund for Direct Investments, Kirill Dmitriev, reviewed by “Novosti”, indicates that the Panamanian authorities are ready to issue a license to use the Russian vaccine.
It is noteworthy that more than 20 countries in the world, including Argentina, Algeria, Venezuela, the UAE, Iran, Tunisia, Lebanon, Serbia, Bahrain and Kazakhstan, agreed to use the “Sputnik V” vaccine against the Corona virus.
The World Health Organization announced that it hopes to add the Russian vaccine to the international “Kovacs” program for the distribution of vaccines.
