A few days ago we announced which player and franchise were negotiating, and now it is Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN who confirms that the negotiations have come to fruition with a four-year, $ 43 million extension signed by Landry Shamet and Phoenix Suns.
The deal gives Shamet long-term security after three years in the NBA in which he has met up to four teams. The Suns trust him and have not hesitated to give him millions after taking him via trade. It was at the end of July that Jevon Carter and the pick 29 of the draft to close the trade with Brooklyn Nets.
One of the great supporters of Shamet’s landing – and possibly his contract extension – is Monty Williams. The head coach of the Arizona organization was an assistant to the Philadelphia 76ers in 2018, the very year the Pennsylvania team chose the guard with the 24th draft.
As for what Shamet can bring to the current NBA finalist, of course he is an outside threat. In his three years in the League he has averaged 9.2 points with 41.6% from field goals and 39.7% from triples.
