There’s quite a bit going on in this play from Saturday’s Nebraska-Purdue game in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Cornhuskers wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson is trucking upfield when he is stopped in his tracks by Boilermakers safety Marvin Grant, whose helmet pops off after the collision.
Advantage Robinson, it would seem. Not so fast!
Undeterred, Grant lifts the 185-pound Nebraska back off the ground and proceeds to carry him backward a few steps. The play ends somewhat awkwardly, with Grant holding Robinson as if he is one of those dummies used by firefighters when training.
Anyway, it’s worth a watch for yourself.
