On Saturday, the Qatari embassy in London issued an alert to its citizens regarding the procedures and controls for travel and entry to the United Kingdom, which were applied by the British government to limit the spread of the Corona virus.
She explained on “Twitter”: “The entry requirements for the United Kingdom related to the Coronavirus are:
A negative test result during the three days preceding travel
Reserve the examination package (at home) and pay for it
Complete the “Passenger Locator” form.
The embassy indicated, “You may be asked to show these details from the passport officers upon your arrival in Britain.”
In view of the recent preventive measures and restrictions announced by the British government to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
We would like to note that the embassy will follow the remote work system, in the event of an emergency, and for inquiries, please call the following numbers pic.twitter.com/YuqQBQYob3Embassy of the State of Qatar – London???? (@QatarEmb_London) December 21, 2020
And she noted, “If you arrive from Qatar (not included in the red list), you will not need to do self-isolation in a hotel, but you must do self-isolation at home for a period of 10 days and follow the rules of examination (Covid-19).”
And she continued: “But if you are traveling from one of the countries included in the Red List, you must quarantine in one of the hotels approved by the government for a period of 10 days, and that the early exit system cannot be used in the event that the quarantine is applied in the hotels approved by the government.”
And she stressed that “if you want to leave the quarantine early, on day 5, you must follow the instructions for that and do an additional (PCR) examination at an accredited center on the fifth day after your arrival, in addition to following the national lockdown rules.”
