The Qatari authorities have been negotiating for weeks with the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, in charge of the Gaza Strip, to maintain calm in the Palestinian enclave during the celebration of the Soccer World Cup.
Qatar’s envoy to Gaza, Mohamad al Amadi, has carried out efforts in person in recent days to ask the movement to appease the rest of the militias, according to sources close to the Israeli outlet Kan News.

Palestinian Islamic Jihad spokesman Tariq Ezz El Din warned that “the massacre committed by Israel against our people and our resistance fighters in the Jenin camp at dawn today will not go unnoticed, and this criminal occupier (Israel) will pay the price of his heinous crime”, according to the ‘Jerusalem Post’.
