Rajoub said, “We are heading to Cairo with full confidence in the success of the Palestinian national dialogue sponsored by Egypt, and we have no other alternative but national reconciliation, and that the aim of launching a comprehensive national dialogue aims mainly to make the democratic path to end the division and build a national partnership.”
Rajoub stressed that “our mission and our duty is to overcome all obstacles … and I, as a Fatah, are confident that success in this is our only option. We trust the commitment of the Egyptian brothers and that the parties that will host the Palestinian national dialogue are working to make it a success.”
Rajoub also affirmed that he “is confident that all Palestinian factions, headed by Hamas, are concerned with the success of this dialogue to save the Palestinian state project, because we have no choice but that and our agenda in the dialogue is open.”
On the eighth of February, a dialogue between the Palestinian factions will start in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to discuss arrangements for the Palestinian elections.
