Barcelona, June 1 (.).- The Minister of Transport, Raquel Sánchez, has urged this Wednesday to avoid emphasizing “grievances” in the debate on the execution of State investments in Catalonia and has asked for confidence in this Government, which is “reliable, complies and is speeding up projects like never before”.
In statements to RAC1, Sánchez insisted that “it is evidence that we have never had such a high volume of works” in Catalonia and has rejected comparisons with other communities because, in his opinion, there are elements that distort the figures, such as the pandemic, the crisis caused by the war in Ukraine or “the complexity” of investment projects.
“I want to convey the message that this is a reliable government that complies and is accelerating projects like never before. (…) The scenario is one of hope and optimism because I am sure that this year and the next the execution will be better”, he said.
The Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda has warned that “the grievances create tension and that is not in accordance with the agenda of the reunion”, agreed with ERC.
In this line, he has asked that it be taken into account that this year twice as many works are being tendered than last year and that, in addition to the investment chapter, the Government makes transfers to Catalonia through the additional provision of the Statute as well like others to municipalities in very diverse fields.
