Recovery of tourist activity is close to pre-pandemic levels: Sectur CDMX

According to the last report published on tourist activity, from January to July of this year, hotel occupancy has shown a sustained recovery, precisely, the levels were at 51.8%; in 2019 these were 66.2%, while in 2020 and 2021 the average was 22 percent.

In the case of the arrival of tourists to hotels in the capital, the recovery has shown almost 80% of what was registered in 2019, considering that the months with the greatest tourist influx come from August.

In the seven months of 2022, a total of 6.2 million visitorsMeanwhile, in 2021 there were 3.2 million tourists, in 2020 with 2.9 million and in 2019, the year without Covid-19, the figure was around 7.7 million.
