35,484 people were victims of premeditated killings in Mexico during the past 2020 year, according to a report by the National Public Security Agency published on Wednesday.

The report recorded a decrease in the number of assassinations in the country by 0.4% compared to the record year 2019.
The central Mexican state of Guanajuato again topped the list of the country’s least safe states, with 4,490 people killed by criminals last year.
It is followed by the northern states of Baja California (2,906 killed), Mexico (2,793 dead) and Chihuahua (2,686 dead).
