The Israeli “Ynet” website reported that the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs is expected to open two temporary diplomatic missions in the UAE in the coming days, an embassy in Abu Dhabi and a consulate in Dubai.
The website stated that the diplomat, Eitan Naeh, former Israeli ambassador to Turkey, has been appointed temporary responsible for the embassy in Abu Dhabi, and he will arrive there next week, indicating that one of the largest embassies in the world is planned to be established in Abu Dhabi, which is planned to include Representatives of the various ministries, as the Israeli Foreign Ministry recently went to the rest of the ministries and offered them to delegate representatives to the Emirates. At the Dubai Consulate, another temporary official was appointed, who is currently there.
He revealed that Bahrain and the UAE intend to open embassies for them in Israel, noting that there are Israeli estimates that a number of countries will soon announce diplomatic relations with Israel, and the list included the Sultanate of Oman and Saudi Arabia.
The site added: “There are contacts with Islamic countries in Africa and Asia, including Niger, Mali, Djibouti, Mauritania and Comoros in Africa, Indonesia, Pakistan, Brunei, Bangladesh and the Maldives.”
This announcement comes after a visit by Israeli crews in recent weeks to Bahrain and the UAE in search of suitable properties for establishing diplomatic representations.
