A retired three-star general is sticking by his claims that U.S. special operation forces died in during an attack on a CIA computer facility in Germany that was stowing away info about an effort to flip votes from President Donald Trump to Joe Biden, even though top Army officials have heavily rebuked that such an attack occurred.
Retired Air Force Lt. General Thomas McInerney’s claims about the attack have been heavily circulated across social media platforms, with conspiracy theorists even offering that five soldiers killed in a Sinai helicopter crash had actually died in the clash with the CIA.
But both U.S. Army and U.S. Army Special Operations Command denied that such an attack occurred, the Military Times reports.
‘The allegations are false,’ a USASOC spokesperson declared. The last fatal incident that the command had was when two soldiers died in a helicopter crash in California in August while the most recent Special Forces combat deaths came from an insider attack that killed two in Afghanistan in February.
Retired Air Force Lt. General Thomas McInerney’s claims were made over the weekend but have been heavily circulated across social media
‘President Trump won in a landslide and the Dems left so many footprints that this TREASON must be stopped!!!,’ he declared, doubling down on the claims after they were denied by Army officials. ‘This will be the last free election we have and I predicted it on 2 Nov on the Steve Bannon Show!’
The allegations were described as ‘definitely false’ by an Army spokesman.
McInerney has failed to produce evidence as to the sources to his theories, nor did he acknowledge the claims from Army higher ups. He has, however, doubled down on the claims.
‘President Trump won in a landslide and the Dems left so many footprints that this TREASON must be stopped!!!,’ he declared. ‘This will be the last free election we have and I predicted it on 2 Nov on the Steve Bannon Show!’
McInerney claimed, during an interview with Worldview Radio & WVW-TV, that Army Special Forces soldiers were killed in Frankfurt, Germany, in a scuffle with CIA who were guarding a server farm operated by the agency that allegedly contained evidence of so-called election theft at the hands of Dominion.
The veteran offered no evidence while on the show, known for producing heavily conspiracy laden content.
Conspiracy theorists are now claiming that five soldiers killed in a Sinai helicopter crash had actually died in the clash with the CIA
During the interview, McInerney claimed that Trump and attorney Sidney Powell have ‘got the 305th Military Intelligence Battalion working with them, because in all of this, we have not seen any footprints of the DOJ or the FBI, nor the CIA on the friendly side.’
The 305th Military Intelligence Battalion is a training unit based in Fort Huachuca, Arizona, and hasn’t been participating in operational missions since 1990. Assigned to Army Training and Doctrine Command, the battalion facilitates initial entry training for soldiers joining military intelligence position. No unit in the battalion’s lineage has gone overseas since World War II.
He then followed up, asserting that the special forces managed to capture the secret CIA farm.
‘In addition, the U.S. special forces command seized a server farm in Frankfurt, Germany, because they were sending this data from those six states through the internet to Spain and then into Frankfurt, Germany,’ McInerney said to Howse. ‘Special operation forces seized those, that facility, so they have those servers and they know all this data they are providing.’
He continued: ‘I’ve heard it didn’t go down without incident, and I haven’t been able to verify it,. I want to be careful in that. It’s just coming out, but I understand — my initial report is — that there were U.S. soldiers killed in that operation. Now, that was a CIA operation, and so that’s the very worrisome thing.’
McInerney asserted that he and concerned parties had ‘all this information.’
No evidence has been offered to show that the five soldiers who died in the helicopter crash on November 12 were actually killed in the Frankfurt shootout.
. Only one of the soldiers had ever served in a USASOC unit
The soldiers had been assigned to the Task Force Sinai’s Aviation Company, which is not a special operations unit. Only one of the soldiers had ever served in a USASOC unit.
McInerney said that he was ‘very concerned’ about the spread of misinformation as it pertained to the effect it would have on the families of the soldiers who died during the crash.
The retired veteran graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1959 and earned a master’s degree in international relations from George Washington University in 1972.
He joined the Air Force soon after, flying more than 400 combat missions during Vietnam War. McInerney earned honors that included the Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit with oak leaf cluster, and the Distinguished Flying Cross with oak leaf cluster, among others.
In July 1992, McInerney assumed a role as the Air Force assistant vice chief of staff.
Following his retirement, McInerney spent more than 16 years as a military analyst for Fox News. He was fired in 2018 after inaccurately claiming while on Fox Business Network Thursday that torture ‘worked on’ Sen. John McCain.
