Roy Keane savaged Albania’s ‘stupid’ goalkeeper after he conceded straight from kick-off in a Nations League win over Kazakhstan.
Keane has never been one to bite his tongue and on Sunday night he was left furious while analysing Kazakhstan’s goal in the 3-1 defeat in which Etrit Berisha was lobbed from the centre circle.
‘You wouldn’t forgive him,’ Keane said. ‘In international football… what is he doing?’

Keane was working as a pundit for ITV covering England’s 2-0 defeat to Belgium.
But the actions of the Albania goalkeeper is what really riled him up and with fellow pundit Ian Wright seeing the funny side, Keane continued to vent his anger.
‘What is he doing? You’d never forgive him for that,’ he added.
‘Stupid. Look at this… I’m angry watching it.’
Albania raced into a 2-0 lead after goals from Sokol Cikalleshi and Ardian Ismajli but soon disaster struck.
Kazakhstan’s goal ultimately proved to be a consolation as they were beaten 3-1 by Albania
Kazakhstan’s Aybol Abiken had noticed complacency was setting in for Albania and in particular for goalkeeper for Berisha.
A quick look at the keeper was followed by a perfect lob with Berisha well off his line and Keane let rip at his decision making.
While the goal was the key talking point from the game, it proved a mere consolation as Berisha and his team-mates ran out 3-1 winners.
Sunday’s victory means Albania can leapfrog Belarus and take top spot in the group, should they beat Belarus on Wednesday.
Kazakhstan now have to beat Lithuania on Wednesday to avoid the relegation play-offs scheduled for March 2022.
