The Russian Foreign Ministry sent a letter to Egypt, expressing Russia’s condolences over the victims of the massive fire that took place on a garment factory in Al-Obour City.
In its statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry said: “According to the information received on March 11, a major fire broke out in the Egyptian city of Obour (Qalyubia Governorate) in a garment factory. As a result of this tragic accident, 20 people were killed, and more than 20 were burned and poisoned. The Egyptian authorities do not exclude the possibility of an increase. death toll”.
“We express our sincere condolences to the friendly Egyptian people, the families of the victims and their friends, and we also wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” she added.
The Civil Protection Operations Room in Qalyubia received a notification from the residents stating that a huge fire broke out inside a clothing factory in the Obour area, and immediately fire engines moved to the place to try to extinguish the fire.
