King Fahd Hospital in Al-Baha has begun treating the 7-year-old blind child, Aws, who suffered second-degree burns with a caustic liquid, and needs a two-week admission period to get an idea of his condition.
Prince Hussam bin Saud, the governor of Al-Baha region, directed the competent authorities to investigate the situation of the child, his circumstances and the causes of burns, while the Protection Department began its procedures to follow up the family situation and the circumstances of the child’s injury.
The Emirate of Al-Baha region published on Twitter: “In a quick response from the Emir, after an appeal that was circulated on social media, the text of which was: I appeal to Prince Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Baha Region, to open an investigation file for the case of the blind child, who was injured by burns. His legs were severe, in order to find out the cause of this, and the reason for his father’s refusal to receive treatment at King Fahd Hospital in Al-Baha, which caused a deterioration in his health and psychological condition.
