Segalmex must publicize the complaints filed with the FGR for the lack of 900 million pesos: Inai

By instructions of the HennaMexican Food Security (Segalmex) must disclose the number of complaints filed with the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) for the lack of almost 900 million pesos that were paid to companies that did not comply with their services.

The National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (Henna) ordered the sectoral body of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (It fits) that provides in detail the number of the investigation folder initiated, the legal actions to recover the resources and the number of commercial lawsuits filed in this case, which was revealed after the audits carried out by the Superior Audit Office of the Federation.

It also instructed to report that if any complaint has not been filed, explain the reason and rationale for why it has not been done and if there are other legal proceedings initiated to recover the missing amounts.

The order issued by the Henna occurred after a person requested a review resourcebecause Segalmex declared the non-existence of this information.

After analyzing the case, the commissioner president of INAI, Blanca Lilia Ibarra Cadenawarned that the argument of Segalmex It was not founded or motivated and “is in dissonance with what was determined by the audits in compliance, carried out by the Superior Audit Office of the Federation.”

In a statement, the Henna explained that in the case of the audit “327-DE”, it was verified in the numeral “9. EXPENSES”, derived from the analysis of the award process of three contracts entered into with two companies, various contractual breaches in contravention of the provisions of the Public Sector Acquisitions, Leasing and Services Law.

It was also verified that the opinion of this audit, issued on January 28, 2022, concludes that “Segalmex did not comply with the applicable legal and regulatory provisions on the matter.”

Ibarra Chain recalled that on August 18 the head of the Ministry of Public Function (SFP), Roberto Salcedo Aquino, said that alleged acts of corruption at Segalmex would be investigated and followed up.

When presenting the case before the Plenary of the Hennathe commissioner said that the SFP It had 618 investigation files open for alleged administrative responsibilities in this body created in 2019 by the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
