The Duchess told Winfrey, in an interview broadcast on Sunday, that when she was pregnant with her son Archie, there were “fears and talk about how dark his skin was when he was born.”
The remark prompted Winfrey to ask her, “What?”, Incredibly sitting in silence for a moment.
Megan refused to reveal who had had such a conversation with Harry, who had transmitted the story to her, saying that revealing his name would be “very harmful.”
Megan said that she became concerned about her son Archie not obtaining the title “Prince” because it means that he will not be protected, noting that digesting everything during pregnancy was “very difficult”, and more important than the royal title at the time, was her concern for the safety and protection of her son.
The Duchess noted that it was difficult for her to understand why there were concerns within the royal family about her son’s complexion. She indicated that it was difficult for her to “fragment” these hadiths.
Harry joined his wife later during the interview, and they revealed that their second child would be a girl.
