The Spanish Ministry of Health announced the registration of 40,197 new cases of coronavirus, in the highest daily increase since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The Ministry reported that 235 new deaths were recorded, noting that the cumulative number of injuries rose to 2252,164, while the total number of deaths rose to 53,314.
The Ministry of Health data showed that the disease incidence rate, as measured over the past 14 days, reached a new level at 575 cases per 100,000 people, up from 522 cases.
Spain is the 10th country in the world in terms of the number of cases of Coronavirus, with more than 2.2 million cases, and the 10th in terms of the death toll from the pandemic, with more than 53 thousand deaths.
