The Tabasco Congress approved this Wednesday night the constitutional reform that extends to 2028 the presence of the Armed Forces in public security tasks.
With 28 votes in favor and seven against, the members of the 64th Legislature endorsed the minute sent by the Congress of the Union that modifies the Fifth Transitory Article of the decree by which various provisions of the Political Constitution are reformed, added and repealed, in matters of National Guardpublished on March 26, 2019 in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF).
The vote was held after the visit of the Secretary of the Interior, Adán Augusto López, to the local deputies to discuss the reform.
