TEPJF determines that there was no political violence against Delfina Gómez on Twitter

The Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judiciary (TEPJF) declared non-existent Political Gender Violence of Denise Dresser and the leader of the PAN, Marko Cortés, against Delfina Gomez.

In that way, the Upper Room of the TEPJF annulled the precautionary measures ordered by the Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico, by which it ordered the withdrawal of various publications disseminated on Twitter by the journalist Denise Dresser and the national president of the National Action Party (PAN), Marko Antonio Cortes Mendozain which they demonstrated against the candidacy of Delfina Gómez Álvarez as a candidate for Morena in the upcoming electoral process in the State of Mexico.

The Collective of Federal Deputies of Morenaas well as Delfina Gómez herself, presented various complaints against the mentioned publications, where they requested precautionary measures, considering that the tweets contained elements of gender political violence.

In this regard, the local Court ordered the Electoral Institute to determine the withdrawal of the publications. Therefore, the PAN, its national president and Denise Dresser disagreed with the above.

The Superior Chamber, without citing a public session and on the proposal of magistrate José Luis Vargas Valdez, revoked the decision of the local Court and the withdrawal of the publications.

The foregoing since, preliminarily, it determined that the expressions do not contain elements of political gender violenceand on the contrary considered that they are a criticism of the performance of Delfina Gómez, who was involved in an investigation process on a possible diversion of resources when she was mayor of Texcoco.

Therefore, since there was no preliminary notice of Political Gender Violence, since stereotypes are not reproduced or referred to due to the fact of being a woman, the expressions were classified as permitted and protected by the right to freedom of expression and information.

Alejandra del Moral names territorial structure

Alejandra del Moral, appointed by the PRI as its coordinator in the State of Mexico, announced to the operational structure that she will tour the Mexican entity in the face of next year’s elections to renew the Governorship.

At a press conference in Toluca, Alejandra del Moral said that no one but the PRI members knows the Mexican entity, and stressed that they will take care of the progress made. She announced Alejandro Ozuna Rivero as coordinator of the structure.

He indicated that they are PRI members from all sectors, including businessmen, workers, merchants, teachers, athletes, and carriers.

“The future of Mexico passes through the State of Mexico. We want to put the benefit and well-being of Mexican families first at all times. It is time for all of us to work together to take care of the progress we have made as a state and as a society,” he said.
