(CNN Business) – Twitter is working on a feature that could save users a short period of time to rethink posting a Tweet even after they click Send.

The company confirmed to CNN Business on Friday that it is testing a rollback option that would potentially allow users to withdraw or correct a tweet before it is officially posted on the platform.

The feature was discovered by Jan Manchun Weng, an app developer with a proven track record of unveiling new social media tools prior to their release. Wong posted a gif to Twitter that showed a blue “undo” bar below the words “Your Tweet sent.” (The feature may change before it’s official – if that happens.)

It’s not exactly the edit button that users have requested, but a step towards helping users to proactively spot errors and slow down the speed before sending out rush tweets.

This feature reminds us of Gmail’s current recall tool, which allows users up to 30 seconds to withdraw an email sending.

Last year, Twitter told investors that it was considering a subscription service and evaluating exclusive options for paying users, including a “undo post” feature. At the time, the company said it asked users to survey to rate which options were more important or less important to them.

Last month, Twitter said it was exploring other sign-up opportunities, such as providing a way for users to become those with paid subscriptions to the Twitter accounts they want to receive additional content such as exclusive ads and newsletters. The company has also set an ambitious target to double its annual revenue by the end of 2023.
