©Reuters. The fixed income market admits a green bond of the ICO of 500 million
Madrid, June 2 (.).- AIAF, the fixed income market of the Spanish Stock Exchanges and Markets group (BME:), has admitted to trading a debt issue from the Official Credit Institute (ICO) aimed at financing sustainable projects of projects of Spanish companies for an amount of 500 million euros.
As reported by BME in a statement, the green bond matures in October 2026, has a coupon of 1.3%, was placed mainly among international investors (88% of the total amount) and its demand doubled the offer.
The issue has been directed by BBVA (BME:), Crédit Agricole (EPA:), Santander (BME:) and Société Générale (EPA:).
With this placement, the volume of ESG bond issuance (debt that meets environmental, social or good corporate governance criteria) in BME’s fixed-income markets exceeds 100,000 million euros.
