The spokesman for the “Ansar Allah” Houthi movement in Yemen, Muhammad Abd al-Salam, asked the United States, “Why don’t you deliver practical peace messages instead of threats?”
In his tweet on Twitter, Abd al-Salam said: “We say to the Americans, as long as you say that you can deliver messages to the Houthis, why don’t you deliver practical peace messages instead of threats?”
He added, “If the threat was to make peace, the aggression that has continued until now would have been made.”

The United States of America described the recent Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia as “unacceptable and dangerous,” stressing that they endanger civilians.
Spokesman for the US State Department, Ned Price, said during a press conference held on Monday that these attacks are “unacceptable and dangerous” and expose civilians, including Americans, to threats.
Price added that “such attacks are not the work of a group serious about peace,” noting that “the Houthis must stop these attacks and show their willingness to engage in a political process and start negotiating to achieve peace in Yemen.”
