The Los Angeles Lakers are very close to closing the incorporation of Sekou Doumbouya. As reported by the journalist from The Athletic, Shams Charania, the player will land in the organization under a two-way deal.
Doumbouya, 20, was selected 15th in the 2019 draft by the Detroit Pistons, where he has completed the first two years of his professional career. However, the apparent attitude and performance problems have been the general trend throughout this brief stay in Michigan, where they finally did not have him.
In just a month, the young player has seen how he has been traded to the Nets in the operation by DeAndre Jordan and later sent to the Rockets, who cut him last Thursday.
For their part, the Lakers thus complete their two two-day contracts, the first being in the hands of Joel Ayayi. Both Mac McClung and Chaundee Brown, both signed under an agreement Exhibit 10, they were also applying for this position, this has finally been awarded to a Doumbouya whose potential now awaits to be squeezed in his new destination. The risk, at least, is minimal.
