A statement issued by the Libyan embassy in Belarus confirmed that the group stormed its headquarters in the capital, Minsk, and attacked the Chargé d’Affairs, Mohamed Mari, affiliated with the Libyan Government of National Accord.
The statement read: “The Accord Government militia, led by the so-called Muhammad Abdullah al-Maghrawi, son of the former ambassador of the Libyan embassy in the Republic of Belarus, Abdullah al-Maghrawi, stormed the embassy headquarters, accompanied by a group of foreign mercenaries, where they attacked the Chargé d’Affairs, Mohamed Mari Stitha of the Libyan government and the Libyan Parliament, the only legitimate body. in Lybia”.

The statement added, “This is the second incursion into the embassy by the unconstitutional government of reconciliation, as the security authorities in Belarus intervened and expelled them.”
Last Thursday, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Libyan Embassy in Belarus, Muhammad Staita, announced that “40 people attacked the Libyan embassy in the early hours of the morning.”
State described the intruders as a “terrorist group,” and said that it consisted of forty people, including two or three Libyans, who attacked the embassy around 6 am, as there were a number of people, including former diplomats, doing their work.
