The New Orleans Pelicans have made their team option effective on the fourth year of contract of young values Zion Williamson, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Jaxson Hayes; and the third on Kira Lewis Jr.
Williamson, the first player in NBA history to average at least 27 points with 60% in field goals, came to the Pelicans as the brand new number 1 in the 2019 Draft. He is the franchise player of the team led by the debutant on the bench. Willie Green.
For their part, his teammates Alexander-Walker and Hayes arrived in the same promotion as Williamson, but in the 17th and 8th positions respectively.
Alexander-Walker, trained at Virginia Tech, averaged 11 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. The pivot obtained figures of 7.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per day.
Finally, Kira Lewis Jr. was chosen with the 13th pick of the 2020 Draft, and in his first year as a professional he averaged 6.4 points and 2.3 assists in 16.7 minutes per game.
