Sao Paulo, Jan 12 (.) .- The Sao Paulo Stock Exchange rose 1.84% this Wednesday and the index, the benchmark for the stock market, closed with 105,685 points, released by the values of the Brazilian commercial sector.

The big winner on the Ibovespa was retail, which posted the biggest gains in the session.
The shares of the department stores Magazine Luiza (7.5%), the Renner store network (6%) and the shopping center operators Iguatemi (8.3%) and Multiplan (6.5%) advanced strongly.
This Wednesday, the Government of the state of Sao Paulo, the economic engine of Brazil, avoided imposing restrictions on trade, despite the growth in hospitalizations and cases of covid-19, and only restricted the capacity to 70% in soccer and recommended municipalities do the same for large cultural events.
The raw materials segment also obtained good results in the Ibovespa, with rallies for the preferred shares of the state oil company Petrobras (NYSE 🙂 (3%) and the mining giant Vale (1%), values that were also the most traded in the session.
On the other side, among the stocks that lost the most were the hosting portal Locaweb (-3.4%), Banco Inter (-3%) and the Brazilian subsidiary of the Santander Bank (MC 🙂 (-2.6%), among others.
The volume traded on the Sao Paulo stock exchange reached 41,730 million reais (about 7,500 million dollars), in a total of 4,184,316 financial operations, according to preliminary results.
