Tunisian President Kais Said announced his acceptance of a “dialogue to correct the course of the revolution”, at the initiative of the Tunisian General Labor Union.
The Tunisian presidency stated, on its official Facebook page, today, Wednesday, that President Qais Said discussed the initiative with the Secretary-General of the General Labor Union, Noureddine Taboubi.
In a statement by the presidency, Qais Saeed declared, “his acceptance of a dialogue to correct the course of the revolution, which has been deviated from its true path that the people set ten years ago, which is employment, freedom and national dignity.”
The Tunisian president stressed that “representatives of young people from all parts of the republic must be included in this dialogue according to criteria to be determined later.”
It was also agreed to hold a working session within the next few days to discuss the details of this dialogue.
The Tunisian General Labor Union had called for a national dialogue to “find political, economic and social solutions to the current situation” in Tunisia.
