The duo, now both working as television analysts, connected during FOX’s pregame show ahead of the Super Bowl rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. Brady’s effortless, powerful throw and Gronkowski’s seamless catch quickly went viral on social media. The display prompted the 48-year-old Brady to jokingly ask if they should consider another season, a comment that, while in jest, highlighted the impressive physical condition of both retired athletes.
A seven-time Super Bowl champion, Brady last played in 2022 at age 45, throwing for 4,694 yards and 25 touchdowns for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Gronkowski retired following the 2021 season, where at age 32 he recorded 55 receptions and six touchdowns in 12 games with the Buccaneers.
