Romano added: “Liverpool officials believe that there are players who have priority over Salah in discussing new contracts.”
He continued: “Rami Abbas, Salah’s agent, held talks with Liverpool earlier on extending the contract, but negotiations are currently stalled.”
And he continued: “Liverpool gives priority to Fabinho and Virgil Van Dyck, in addition to Vinaldom, especially since the latter’s contract expires next summer.”
Salah, Fabinho and Van Dyck’s contract with the Liverpool team expires in the summer of 2023.
He concluded: “Weinaldum respects Liverpool. He received a new offer from Liverpool, but it did not match the player’s expectations, so he asked for some time to speak with his family, and he gave the club a promise not to talk to other clubs.”
