US President Donald Trump objected to the results of the presidential elections in eight states, despite losing them, according to official figures, to Democrat Joe Biden.
Trump said, in an interview with his supporters and supporters in Georgia: “Democrats say, he is against Georgia. No, no. I object to eight states, and I think I will win all of them.”
Earlier, the “Washington Post” newspaper revealed that President Trump asked Georgia State Secretary Brad Ravensberger in a phone call to “find” about 12,000 votes to reverse the difference in votes with Joe Biden.
Trump, the Georgia state secretary, has warned of criminal consequences if he fails to respond to his allegations of fraud in the state election.
In an unusual, hour-long phone call on Saturday, Trump urged Ravensberger to “find” enough votes to reverse his defeat. Election experts said the call raises legal questions.
But Ravensberger rejected Trump’s demands, and stressed that Joe Biden’s victory, with 11,779 votes in Georgia, was fair and accurate.
