Tyson Fury has hit back at his heavyweight rival Deontay Wilder for saying he put the American under a ‘Gypsy spell’ in the first of their two blockbuster fights.
Fury took the Bronze Bomber’s WBC belt in February after completing two knockdowns in a thrilling draw before trumping Wilder in a dominant display in Las Vegas.
Wilder has since offered an endless list of excuses for his poor performance, claiming his ring-walk costume was too heavy and later accusing his trainer Mark Breland of tampering with his water to help Fury execute a seventh-round knockout.

Despite being named ‘the gypsy king’, Fury denies all claims of cursing Wilder prior to their fight.
Fury mocked the American for his outlandish remarks, saying: ‘When Joe Rogan interviewed Wilder on his podcast after our first fight, Wilder said he thought I’d put some kind of gypsy spell on him.
‘As far as I know, I don’t possess much in the way of spells, though my Irish grandmother was a fortune teller.
‘What’s clear is that I had got into his head and shook his self-confidence by repeatedly telling him I was going to drop him in the second round.

‘I planted that seed in his mind and uttered it so frequently in the run-up to the fight he got spooked and started believing it himself.’
Fury decided to walk away from the prospect of a third fight with the Bronze Bomber after their immediate rematch clause expired last month.
Fury claimed that he was frustrated at Wilder for changing the dates that they had initially agreed.
Wilder is, however, seeking revenge against the Gypsy King and has has initiated a mediation with a retired judge set to review his case.
Frank Warren has declared that a decision regarding a trilogy fight will be made next week.
