The ruling Vietnamese Communist Party said on Saturday that it will conclude a major conference it holds every 5 years, amid a new outbreak of COVID-19 in several northern provinces that was discovered earlier this week.

Official media reported that the conference will end on Monday, one day earlier than previously planned.
And the Vietnamese Ministry of Health announced the registration of 34 new cases of Coronavirus today, Saturday, in a new outbreak of infection, as infections were recorded in five cities and regions, including the capital, Hanoi.
The ministry added in its statement that it had detected 32 of the new cases in Hai Duang Province and two in the neighboring Quang Ninh Province.
It stated that it had recorded more than 1,700 cases of the virus since its appearance a year ago, including 873 local cases.
