Unseeded teenager Iga Swiatek became the lowest-ranked woman to win the French Open after she thrashed fourth seed Sofia Kenin in the Roland Garros final.
The 19-year-old, ranked at 54 in the world, got off to a fast start and took the opening three games before sealing the first set 6-4.
Kenin, who won the Australian Open earlier this year, broke early in the second set, but Swiatek hit back straight away and claimed the second set 6-1 in emphatic fashion.

Swiatek, who beat top seed Simona Halep last week, has won her first Grand Slam singles title, having never gone past the fourth round in a major tournament before this autumn.
