Xóchitl Gálvez may exercise her right of reply in the morning, as determined by a federal judge

The senator of the National Action Party (PAN) Xochitl Galvez reported that a federal judge admitted the amparo that he filed so that he can exercise his right of reply at the daily morning press conference of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

“A door was opened to guarantee the right of reply. A federal judge admitted my amparo so that the president asserts my right in his morning. Let’s keep working so all voices are heard. It is time to be brave. #NoLeSaquePresidente”, the PAN senator posted on Twitter in the morning for the principle of proportional or multi-member representation.

In a press release, the PAN parliamentary group in the Upper House reported that the Hidalgo senator explained that, after admitting her request for amparo, “the judge will study the merits of the matter” and “the Presidency of the Republic will be summoned so that he renders his justified report as to why he has been denied that right.”

In addition, that, once the procedure has concluded, “the judge will issue his sentence in which he will decide whether or not the president violated his right of reply”, and that “this could set a precedent by which the Judiciary decides if the morning It is an act of authority, challengeable by means of an amparo trial or not”.

Gálvez promoted her request for amparo since December 27, after President López Obrador commented at his press conference on December 5 that the woman said, when she was a candidate for the Hidalgo government, that she would remove “the programs of support for the elderly”; The next day and at the express request to respond, López Obrador suggested that “Mrs. Xóchitl” use “other platforms and that she go to deceive another party. And if she doesn’t think so, well, she’s already an expert in filing complaints with the prosecutor’s office. And if they force me to guarantee the right of reply, I will do it; If the competent authority demands it of me, I would comply with that without any problem, but let him do the process…”
